Claim your Deezer artist profile

Deezer for Creators is where you claim your Deezer artist profile. Claiming it lets you set your image and bio, highlight a release, notify your followers and follow how your releases perform.

Run’s part is the delivery: we send the release that creates the page. The claim happens on Deezer, with a Deezer account, and we cannot do it for you.

There is no Deezer field in Run

Worth saying up front, because people look for it. Run connects two store profiles on an artist, Spotify and Apple Music, and Deezer is not one of them. Deezer matches your release to an artist page from the metadata we deliver with it, which is why the artist name on a release matters so much: see Metadata rules.

So there is nothing to paste back into the workspace after you claim. The one thing that keeps your Deezer page tidy is consistent credits on every release you send.

Before you start

• At least one release live on Deezer. The artist page exists once Deezer has ingested a release. Tracking delivery shows where a release has reached.
• A Deezer account to sign in with.
• The right artist page. Open your release on Deezer and follow the credit through to the page it points at.

Claim it

1. Open your release on Deezer and click through to the artist page it is credited to.
2. Keep that page open, or copy its link. You want to be certain which page you are claiming.
3. Go to Deezer for Creators and sign in with your Deezer account.
4. Claim the artist page from step 1 and follow the steps Deezer shows you. Access is granted by Deezer, on Deezer’s terms.

The older Backstage address still resolves, but Deezer for Creators is the current product and the right place to start.

After it is granted

Your image, bio and highlighted release are edited on Deezer from then on. Run does not read any of it back: the picture on your artist card here is mirrored from Spotify only, as covered in Your artist picture and monthly listeners.

Deezer is also the store our ISRC and UPC finder reads most reliably, since it publishes track codes openly. Pasting a Deezer album link there gives you the release’s UPC and every track’s ISRC, which is a quick way to confirm that the release on that page is the one you sent. If the claim is refused, or the page is wrong

Deezer decides who gets access, and their support is the route for a refusal, or for two pages that should be one. We cannot claim, merge or edit anything on their side.

Come to us when the problem started with the delivery: a release credited to the wrong page, or a duplicate page created next to yours. Open a request at Support with the release and links to both pages. We can tell you exactly what artist credits went out with that release, which is what Deezer matched on.
