A Run plan is two things at once: a subscription you pay, and the share of your royalties you keep. Both are on the table below. Distribution has no per-release fee, no store fee and no charge for taking something down. Extra artist or label slots are priced separately from distribution. Mastering is Upcoming and is not yet available.

What a plan decides is how many releases you can put out, how many artist profiles you can hold, how much of what your music earns stays with you, whether you get your own store-facing label, and, on the top plan, whether the workspace runs under your own brand with other people working in it. Everything else is the same on every plan: the same stores, the same worldwide delivery, the same checks, the same rights lines crediting you.

The plans

Prices include VAT. Yearly billing is one payment for the year and works out cheaper than twelve monthly ones. “No limit” is fair use: put out as much real music as you make.

What you keep

There are exactly two splits, and they follow the plan you are on when the earnings are recorded:

  • On either paid plan you keep 92% of what the stores report for your music.
  • On Free you keep 70%.

Run’s share covers the cost of getting your music to the stores and keeping it there. It is taken from recording royalties only: publishing, live, merchandise and sync never pass through Run and are not touched. Your royalty split has the detail, including what happens to periods already recorded when you change plan.

What Free is

Free is a slow lane, not a trial you finish. It is 1 release a month: an allowance that refills on the 1st of each month, so a free account is somewhere you can keep releasing from indefinitely, one record at a time.

Two other things follow from that:

  • The allowance is counted by submission, in calendar months. Submit this month’s release and the next one opens on the 1st. Reopening a release you already submitted, fixing it and submitting it again does not spend the allowance twice.
  • It is open to everyone. Create an account, pick Free in setup and you are releasing; there is no invite, no code and no waiting list.

There is no cap on drafts, on any plan. Build as many as you like and submit them when they are ready.

Releases you put out on Free stay live if you later move to a paid plan, or if you stop paying.

What the paid plans include

Both paid plans lift the release limit entirely, raise the split to 92%, and put your releases ahead of the free queue on the way to the stores.

Artist, EUR 14.99 a month or EUR 149.00 a year, covers 5 artist profiles. Releases go out under the Run label, with the rights lines still crediting you. See Rights lines.

White-label, EUR 49.99 a month or EUR 499.00 a year, is the plan for a label or a management company. It covers 50 artist profiles and includes 1 custom Label, and it adds four things the smaller plans do not have: your releases go to the front of every queue at Run, a manager on your support requests, the workspace under your own business name and logo, and 5 seats for people who work your catalog with you. See The White-label plan.

Delivery

PlanWhere your releases sit
FreeThe standard queue
ArtistAhead of the standard queue
White-labelFront of every queue, shipped the moment review clears

This is about the order of Run’s own work, and nothing else. A cleared release goes to the stores in under 24 hours on every plan. What each store does with a delivery afterwards is its own ingestion process, on every plan, and no plan changes it. See Tracking delivery.

Support

Support runs in the workspace on every plan, and the published support address is read by a person on every plan. White-label adds a dedicated manager, who takes that account’s requests first. Nothing about support is metered, and Run does not publish a response time on any plan. See Getting help.

Add-on slots

Both paid plans can buy more of the two things that are capped.

  • An extra artist profile is EUR 1.99 a month, or EUR 19.90 a year. Buy them one at a time.
  • An extra label is EUR 19.99 a month, or EUR 199.00 a year.

Slots ride your existing subscription, so they bill on the same interval as your plan. Adding one is charged pro rata straight away. Removing one leaves a credit on your account that comes off future invoices, rather than a refund to your card. Slots need a live subscription to ride on, so they are not available on Free.

You buy and adjust them on the slider in Settings, which shows the price change before you confirm it. Subscription and slots covers the mechanics.

Changing or cancelling

Switch plan or billing interval from Settings and the difference is invoiced or credited immediately. Payment details, invoices and cancellation live in the Stripe billing portal, which Settings opens for you.

Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, not on the spot. Your releases stay live either way: a subscription pays for putting music out and running your catalog, not for keeping it on the stores.

After a downgrade:

  • Your catalog keeps distributing and keeps earning. Earnings recorded from that point on carry the split of the plan you are then on; periods already recorded keep the split that applied when they were reported.
  • Custom labels you already created keep branding their releases. What locks is creating new ones.
  • Artist profiles over the new limit are never deleted. Creating new ones stays blocked until you are back under the limit.
  • Add-on slots go inert while the plan is free, and come back if you resubscribe.
  • Workspace branding stops rendering and collaborators lose access, both without anything being deleted. Resubscribing brings them back as they were.

If a payment fails

Nothing changes immediately. Your plan stays in force while the card is retried, and you keep every entitlement during that window, the split included. Settings shows a payment issue so you can fix the card.

If the payment is never settled, the subscription ends and the account returns to Free. Again, releases already on the stores stay there.
