Managing your subscription and slots
Where billing lives in the workspace, how to change plan or billing interval, what happens if a payment fails or you cancel, and how add-on slots work.
Everything about billing lives in one place: Settings, under Plan and billing. It shows the plan you are on, whether it renews or cancels and on what date, how much of each allowance you are using, and the two sliders that add artist and label slots.
Card details, invoices and cancellation live in the Stripe billing portal, which the Manage billing button opens for you. Run never sees or stores your card.
What the panel tells you
- Your plan, and a status chip if there is something to say about it (a payment issue, a scheduled cancellation).
- Renews on or Cancels on, with the date and the interval you are billed at.
- Allowance meters counted live against the account: releases, artist profiles and labels. Drafts are not metered on any plan.
- The share of your royalties your plan keeps for you. See Your royalty split.
- The current price of anything you are about to change, before you confirm it.
If your plan was granted by Run rather than bought, the panel says so and there is nothing to manage.
Starting, changing and switching interval
Picking a paid plan for the first time sends you to checkout on Stripe. When the payment confirms, the workspace picks the new plan up on its own and the allowances lift.
Once you have a live subscription, plan changes happen in Settings rather than at checkout. Choosing a different plan, or the same plan on a different interval, changes it on the existing subscription: you confirm twice, and the difference is invoiced or credited immediately, pro rata for the part of the period you have already paid for.
Change plan and interval in Settings rather than in the billing portal. Settings moves any add-on slots you hold onto the matching interval in the same change; the portal only moves the plan itself.
Monthly against yearly
| Plan | Monthly | Yearly |
|---|---|---|
| Artist | EUR 14.99 | EUR 149.00 |
| White-label | EUR 49.99 | EUR 499.00 |
Prices include VAT. Yearly is one payment covering the year, and it works out cheaper than twelve monthly ones. Slots follow the plan’s interval, so a yearly plan bills its slots yearly too.
If a payment fails
Nothing changes immediately, and nothing is lost.
- The card is retried over the following days, and your plan stays in force while that happens. You keep every allowance it carries, and your royalty split with them.
- Settings shows a payment issue so you can fix the card in the billing portal.
- If the payment is never settled, the subscription ends and the account returns to Free.
Releases already delivered stay live throughout, and stay live afterwards.
Cancelling
Cancel in the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, not on the spot: Settings switches from “Renews on” to “Cancels on” and you keep the plan until that date.
Changing your mind before the date is one button in Settings, Resume subscription, which clears the scheduled cancellation and keeps the same subscription running.
After you land back on Free:
- Your catalog keeps distributing and keeps earning. See How earnings work.
- Periods recorded from then on carry the free split. Periods already recorded keep the split that applied when they were reported. See Your royalty split.
- Artist profiles over the free allowance are never deleted. Creating new ones is what blocks.
- Custom labels you already made keep branding the releases that carry them. Creating new ones is what blocks.
- Add-on slots go inert, and count again if you resubscribe.
- Workspace branding stops rendering and collaborators lose access, with nothing deleted on either side. See The White-label plan.
Add-on slots
Two things are capped by plan and can be raised with slots, on any live paid subscription:
| Slot | What one gives you | Monthly | Yearly | Maximum |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Artist slot | One more artist profile | EUR 1.99 | EUR 19.90 | 45 |
| Label slot | One more store-facing label | EUR 19.99 | EUR 199.00 | 9 |
Each slider shows the price change per month and, on yearly billing, the payment actually taken, plus the new total allowance. Nothing happens until you confirm.
- Adding is charged straight away, pro rata for the rest of the period.
- Reducing leaves a credit on your account that comes off future invoices. It is not a refund to your card.
- Reducing below what you are already using never deletes an artist or a label. Creating new ones stays blocked until you are back under the limit.
- Slots need a live paid subscription to ride on, so they are not sold on Free.
Your roster and artist slots covers what an artist profile is, and Your own label covers what a label slot buys.
